What's Important? When choosing a vacation home, we're often faced with the disadvantage of not having past experience. So with all these options, how do you choose? After all the sales pitches, it all boils down to 2 basic aspects: Price: Price is often tied to the location of the home - the closer to Disney, typically the higher the price gets. Price is also dependant on the "status" of the home. Terms like "executive" and "luxury" are used when describing vacation homes.Typically, we've found that a "luxury" home will have well chosen furniture, well kept, and contain amenities such as games rooms, pool tables, hot tubs, etc. Budget homes, while reasonably priced, typically come with generic furniture packages, and offer the basics of home living. Location: Relating to price, homes near Disney, generally cost more to rent. While you can find homes that are a 5 minute drive to Disney, we like having a home somewhat outside the theme park core. We like a place that's quiet and peaceful, yet within a 15 minute drive to the park. After all, how far do you drive to work every day? |
